# Using the app

The pages of gage.cash in the order of the header, and the one thing each page does.

The header reads **Earn · Borrow · Portfolio · Protocol · Agents · Builders**; on a phone the first five tabs sit in a bar at the bottom, and Builders moves to the footer. The landing offers two doors: *Have USDG?* → **Earn**, with its downside under it (if a borrower walks away, the vault keeps their collateral instead of USDG), and *Have tokens?* → **Borrow**, where nothing can touch your tokens before the end date. Each page keeps one action in view; explanations and reference figures wait behind a closed Details fold.

## Earn

Deposit USDG, GLD, NVDA or HIMS in a partner vault. Wallets lend through partner vaults; there is no Lend tab. Earn is one grid of vault cards, the USDG vaults first, under a filter: each card carries the tokens the vault lends against as coins, the estimated APR in two outcomes, **If repaid** and **If they walk away** (after the fee), and its deposits beside the asset's logo; **Ask AI** sits at its top right. The whole card opens the vault's page, at its short link `gage.cash/v/<name>`: Performance, the vault's rules, and the deposit card with **Deposit** and **Withdraw**, your deposit and your claims. Withdraw at once, up to the vault's free cash. See [Partner vaults](/earn/partner-vaults.md). Gage's own two strategies stopped taking deposits on 15 October 2026; see [How Earn works](/earn/how-it-works.md).

## Borrow

The markets come first, and a market's sheet drafts a loan before a wallet connects. A token's own link, `gage.cash/borrow/<ticker>`, opens Borrow on that token. Connected, one card runs four steps, **1 Pledge, 2 Borrow, 3 Rate, 4 Review**, and opens on the best loan a partner vault funds whole now: the pledge with **Max** and a fader; how much to borrow on a second fader, with **Leverage** beside it; 7 or 21 days and the fixed cost, pre-filled with the model's suggestion, over the **Loan grade** ladder (F to A, each with how many partner vaults fund the loan at it); then the payoff curve, with [No liquidation](/start-here/no-liquidation.md) a tap away, and **Roll over by itself before it ends**. The button reads **Get X USDG** when a partner vault funds the whole loan now, otherwise **List for X USDG**, open to partner vaults for 24 hours. **How it works** sits beside the card on a desktop. See [List your collateral](/borrow/list.md) and [Leverage](/borrow/leverage.md).

Borrow's **Private** switch borrows against a screened deposit in a shielded pool, for a wallet you name: deposits, loan terms and positions are public onchain, the link between your deposit and your loan is not. Memes and RH ECO tokens only. See [Borrow privately](/borrow/private.md).

A running loan's page is one card: time left, the payoff curve with today's dot, **Collect**, **Reclaim** and **Or cash out**, and in the loan's last day **roll over**: repay it and borrow again on the same pledge, in one transaction. See [The decision at expiry](/borrow/the-decision.md). On a partner-vault loan you hold no part of, the page shows one card of your own when Borrow lends against its token, **Your turn**: *Borrow against your AAPL like this*, its button opening that token on Borrow, and under it a link to earn from loans like it in the vault that funded the largest part.

## Portfolio

The one place for what a wallet holds and can take. Four figures come first, each left out at zero: **In Earn**, **Lent**, **Ready to collect** and **Owed**. Then the **Agenda**, open by default: **Now** lists what is ready to collect, one line per kind, and one **Collect all** takes it (the USDG every contract holds for you, collateral to take back, claims, Earn withdrawals, a partner vault's earnings and recovered collateral, and sGAGE), in one signature where your wallet can send a batch, else one step at a time; then each date a loan ends or a listing closes, soonest first, with **Reclaim** on your own loans and **Roll over** in a loan's last day. A loan set to roll over by itself says so, with **change**. The other tabs: **Loans** (your loans as cards, the loans you lend into on an earlier engine with **Sell your quarter**, and the **Telegram alerts** row), **Pool** (each position that holds liquidity; **Manage on Uniswap** opens its NFT there), **Earn** (each partner vault you hold as a card: your balance, what it earned, and one **Claim** for what is ready), **Rewards** (**Claim**, or **Reinvest instead**, a sheet that pairs sGAGE with GAGE, and what is still unlocking) and **History** (settled loans, each deposit into and withdrawal from a partner vault, including one you have left, and bids; with more than one kind, one at a time by its chip, opening on the most recent), each shown only when it has something in it. Every position has a share link.

## Protocol

One page, top to bottom:

* **Bought back.** The share of all GAGE that protocol fees have bought back, drawn as a hundred squares, each 1% of the supply, with the GAGE bought so far and this week. That GAGE backs the sGAGE floor. See [Deal fees and floor liquidity](/pool/buyback.md).
* **The market.** Four figures: **deposited** (in loans, Earn and funding), **borrowed** (out on running loans), **loans running** (by term) and **fees earned**: the creator fees spent on buybacks, loan fees, and trade, cash-out and Earn fees once they reach a dollar. It leaves out the execution fees partner vaults pay, the protocol's share of their performance fees, and the fees of loans lent in GLD, NVDA and HIMS.
* **This week's rewards.** When the week ends, the sGAGE it has to share and their split between loans and the pool, and **Your rewards on Portfolio →**. See [Weekly budgets](/rewards/weekly-budgets.md).
* **GAGE/sGAGE pool.** The pool on Uniswap v4: its price in GAGE per sGAGE, the sGAGE floor and what it holds. One **Add liquidity** button opens a sheet: pay with ETH, USDG, GAGE, sGAGE, or GAGE and sGAGE together; **Swap GAGE ⇄ sGAGE** sits beside it. Your positions, and collecting and claiming, are on Portfolio. See [Provide liquidity](/pool/provide-liquidity.md).
* **Agents.** What AI agents did on gage this week: how many borrowed or lent through an agent, the USDG borrowed and deposited and the agent connections, then the latest five actions, each with what was done, who did it, the way in and the app, and when. An agent is named by its ERC-8004 id, **Agent #id**, only when the registry shows the acting wallet is that agent's; otherwise the wallet, shortened. **Connect your agent →** opens Agents.
* **More numbers.** One closed fold for the rest: where deposits sit, by collateral, the loans ended in the last 30 days (repaid, or walked away with the lenders keeping the collateral), the month's median cost and time to fund, loan fees by week, the week's reward budgets by term and the next weeks, the sGAGE price over 30 days, the floor's backing and the sGAGE burned, the pool's activity, and the sGAGE and GAGE contracts.

## Agents and Builders

**Agents** offers three ways for an AI agent to use gage: **Steward**, where your agent prepares a loan or a deposit and you confirm each step in your wallet; **Valet**, where your agent signs from a wallet of its own that you fund, within spend limits; and **Beacon**, gage's entry in ERC-8004, where agents find gage on their own. **Builders** opens the TypeScript SDK. See [AI Agents](/ai-agents/overview.md) and [Integrate gage](/developers/integrate.md).

## Questions and the footer

* **Questions?** The button at the bottom right of every page (on a phone, the **?** in the top bar) opens **Ask AI about** the page's topic: the Claude or ChatGPT mark opens that assistant with the question typed and pointed at these docs. Under it, **Support** and **Report a vulnerability**.
* **Support.** Contact the Gage team; read replies on the site or by email.
* **Bug bounty.** Submit a private report with a refundable deposit. See [Bug bounty](/protocol/bug-bounty.md).

Live balances, quotes, prices, reward rates and routes belong to the app and the contracts. These pages explain their meaning; they are not a quote or a promised return.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.gage.cash/start-here/product-guide.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
